The easiest way is to install it before departure and then activate the line just before arrival or once you've landed. In Norway, the network is generally easy to pick up from Oslo Gardermoen onwards, but waiting until you're outside can avoid an unnecessary drop in signal during the transition from airplane to mobile.
The connection remains generally good on trains around Oslo, long-distance buses, and many ferries. However, in Norway, signal drops may still occur in tunnels, on some mountain railway lines, and in sparsely populated areas between towns.
It all depends on the chosen plan. For a trip to Norway, Sweden and Denmark, a regional eSIM is often more practical, whereas an eSIM dedicated to Norway does not always automatically cover border crossings.
