How many eSIMs can I install?

Use the page content field for the main answer, steps, screenshots, and troubleshooting guidance.

Devices that support eSIM technology allow you to install multiple eSIMs, although the number that can be active simultaneously depends on the specific device model. For example, iPhones can store between five and ten eSIMs, while Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, Huawei, and other Android models can accommodate between five and seven. However, the exact number of active eSIMs at any given time will vary depending on your device model.

Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) devices give you the flexibility to have two active eSIMs at the same time or to combine a nano-SIM with an eSIM. Models such as the iPhone 13, Samsung Galaxy S24, and Google Pixel 7, as well as later versions of these series, offer this feature.

In contrast, Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) devices allow the use of a nano-SIM and an eSIM, but only one eSIM can be active at a time. Models like the iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR fall into this category.

For most Android smartphones, only one eSIM can be active at a time. However, starting with the Google Pixel 7, it's possible to use two eSIM profiles simultaneously, subject to your carrier's approval.
