Android devices offer a feature called Data Saver, which allows users to manage data access by background and foreground apps. By controlling this access, you can significantly reduce your mobile data usage. Here's how to enable this option on different devices.
For Samsung Galaxy users:
Start by going to Settings, then select Connections. Next, go to Data usage.
Look for the Data Saver option and enable it by tapping the corresponding button. For further customization, you can specify which apps are allowed to use mobile data even when the saver is enabled. Simply select Allowed to use data when the saver is on and toggle the switch next to the chosen apps.
For those using a Google Pixel:
Go to Settings and select Network & Internet. Find the Data Saver option and enable it by tapping the button next to Use data saver.
Furthermore, you can specify which apps can continue using mobile data when Data Saver is active. To do this, tap Unrestricted Data and enable the toggle for each relevant app.
With these steps, you can effectively control data usage on your Android device, whether it's a Samsung Galaxy or a Google Pixel.
